MISS VERMONT USA® 2015
Jackie Croft is a 23 year-old who has studied at both Elmira College and the University of Vermont with an emphasis on Vocal Performance and Public Communication. She is taking the necessary steps to become a professional model and plans to expand that into a career in public image consulting.
She has been a singer her entire life. Starting in elementary school she was in band, chorus and theater. Jackie had very few lessons but competed in district and statewide competitions. After high school she was a vocal performance major and was in musical theater at Elmira College in Elmira, New York. Since then she has sung at several events, games and open mic nights throughout Vermont.
Jackie has worked with the “Save the Music Foundation” over the last five years as an advocate for promoting music education in schools. Music is such a large piece of her life and she can’t imagine growing up without benefitting from it being fully integrated into her schooling. She has worked hard by donating, fundraising, advocating and being a face for this cause over the years.
The Children’s Miracle Network is dear to her heart as she has worked with them at the Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington by volunteering and visiting the children’s ward. Jackie has also been involved in fundraising for them through the Big Change Round Up event and IHOP’s Free Pancake Day over the last five years.
A couple of interesting facts about Miss Vermont USA 2015 are:
She once worked for the Vermont Attorney General in the consumer protection department. In her position she dealt with consumers who felt they had been taken advantage of by businesses they were involved with.
In September of 2014, Jackie raced in the World Championship Spartan Race Beast. It was over 16 miles in distance with 30 plus obstacles along the way. The race was incredibly difficult but empowering once she completed it seven hours later.
Jackie Croft will represent Vermont as she competes in the 2015 Miss USA pageant that will be seen LIVE from Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Sunday, July 12th at 8/7c on NBC. The show will be held at The Baton Rouge River Center.
Should Jackie win the Miss USA Pageant, she would immediately fly from Baton Rouge to New York City to move into her new NYC apartment next to Central Park where she would live with Paulina Vega, Miss Universe 2014. As Miss USA she would travel the country working to raise awareness and funds for breast and ovarian cancer research with organizations that are champions in the fight against these diseases. Later in the year she would represent the USA in the Miss Universe Pageant.
The Miss Vermont USA pageant is produced independently by Pageant Associates (Sanders & Associates, Inc.), under license from Miss Universe LP, L.L.L.P., which is a Donald J. Trump and NBCUniversal joint venture.
